How do I add my badge to the directory? - First you need to register. Once you have done this you can login and go to the directory page. You will see a link to manage your badges. Click on it and you will be able to upload your image and badge name! Be sure that the badge you add is the one you added on imvu. To do this right click on your badge image and choose properties. You can copy the url for your badge in the window that pops up. You chose the method of request when you register. Currently there is no way to have multiple ways to request badges, but you can make more accounts if you would like to have a seperate badge requested a special way!

Why aren't all the badges listed? - These are user added badges. If you don't see one here it's because the user who owns the badge has chosen not to add it.

Someone added my badge without my permission. How do I get it taken down? - CONTACT ME!! I will be happy to remove a badge if it is not supposed to be in the directory. I will need the badge name.

How can I advertise on this website? - Contact me with the banner image and I will be happy to add you!

What if I forgot my password in the directory? - The only way (for now) is to contact one of the admins in the directory (jspunkette, gaf210, or marnidawg & ask us to reset the password for you. Then we'll tell you your temporary password and you can go in and login in to the directory, once there go to "edit account settings" and change your password.

What are they? - They are small images that can be placed next to your avatar or in your avatar card to show off! Nothing more than that ;)

How do I make one? - First of all you need 100,000 credits (90,000 for VIP members) per 20x20 pixel square. Once you decide how large you want to make it and have collected the proper amount of credits go here. At the bottom of the page you'll see a link to create a new badge. It will ask you once you choose your options if you're really sure you want to spend the credits. You'll be able to add your badge image and edit the description after you accept.

How do I collect them? - A good place to start is right here on this website! Just browse the list and pick which ones you would like and click the request link. Please remember to ask politely! Also you can click on a badge and often people will have a link to where you can request it!

How do I turn them off? - To make enable/disable badges in your homepage you can do it going to your Account Settings Page. Do down until you see your Avatar Card, and look on the right of that box, there's a checkbox that says "Disable badges on my homepage", just tick or untick it, and thats it.
Have in mind that disabling badges on your homepage will severally lower the load time of your homepage, so if you don't mind is a wise move to disable them.

How can I send them to someone? - Once you've created a badge you can give it out from the manage badges page.

Why are they so expensive? - Mostly to keep people from trying to cause trouble with them. If you spend 100,000 credits you're not likely to waste it right? ;) But also I think to keep them a little more exclusive.

What codes can be used in the badge descriptions? - Regular HTML coding is used or just plain text. I don't think ALL html codes will work but i know "img" "a" "center" and "br" tags work.

I can't move my badges to my avatar card! What can i do? - My wise suggestion is for you to use Firefox browser, log in to your imvu account and move your badges there.

My badge has like little white dots in it. How can i fix that? - That's most probably because you are using black color into your badge. Your image gets converted to GIF format once you submit it as your badge. To avoid the white dots try not to use bold black colors in your badge image (hex color #000000).
